Agfas acquisition of Sterling Diagnostic Imaging is now complete. The Ridgefield Park, NJ-based film and PACS vendor has acquired all the capital stock of Sterlings parent company, SDI Holding Corp. A management team for the combined companies has also been named. John Glass, managing director for Agfa-Gevaerts medical imaging business group, will head the combined businesses worldwide. Sterling executive vice president and COO Ernest Waaser will assume responsibilities previously held by Glass at Agfa, while Sterling chairman and CEO Rodney Wolford will stay on for a limited time to assist Glass and Waaser during the transition, according to Agfa.
