The company boasted revenue increases of 151% for the quarter, reporting $60.7 million in sales compared with $24.2 million in 1997. Revenues for the year were $199.4 million, up from 1997s $86.5 million. Alliance reported net income of $548,000 for the quarter, and $2.6 million for the year.
The company attributed its growth to at least two factors: an increase in MRI businessAlliance performed more than 120,000 scans in fourth quarter 1998, up from 50,700 scans the previous yearand the acquisition of three more companies, Mobile Technology, Medical Diagnostics, and the mobile division of American Shared Hospital Services (SCAN 6/10/98).
