Mobile imaging services firm Alliance Imaging of Anaheim, CA, last month posted its fourth-quarter and year-end results for 1998 (end-December). The company boasted revenue increases of 151% for the quarter, reporting $60.7 million in sales compared with $24.2 million in 1997. Revenues for the year were $199.4 million, up from 1997’s $86.5 million. Alliance reported net income of $548,000 for the quarter, and $2.6 million for the year.

The company attributed its growth to at least two factors: an increase in MRI business—Alliance performed more than 120,000 scans in fourth quarter 1998, up from 50,700 scans the previous year—and the acquisition of three more companies, Mobile Technology, Medical Diagnostics, and the mobile division of American Shared Hospital Services (SCAN 6/10/98).
