Scripps Health, an IDN located in San Diego, has signed an agreement to purchase IDX System’s LastWord. The system automates clinical, financial, and administrative transactions with the goal of improving workflow and providing clinicians real-time access to data. Scripps will use LastWord to integrate various software systems and provide enterprise-wide access to patient data (administrative and clinical) across its entire network, including five acute-care and two convalescent hospitals.
