Planar Systems (Beaverton, OR) has signed Richardson Electronics (LaFox, IL) to distribute its flat-panel medical displays in North America and Europe. Under the agreement announced Dec. 4, Richardson, a provider of engineered solutions for medical display systems, will market Planar's VitalScreen and Invitium families of medically certified monitors and point-of-care workstations. VitalScreen flat-panel displays address applications in operating rooms, trauma units, and patient monitoring. The Invitium family of workstations consists of a display with an integrated single-board computer, suitable for hospital areas with space constraints.
