Carestream Health plans to begin taking orders for its latest RIS platform by the end of 2009. The company will showcase the ability of its new RIS at the upcoming RSNA conference to display staff and resource utilization. The new RIS also allows a centralized staff of schedulers to view availability of rooms, equipment and personnel across multiple locations. In addition to fully featured mammography tools, the RIS delivers critical results notification to help ensure that patients in critical situations receive immediate and appropriate action.
