Picker International of Cleveland has granted spinal implant manufacturerDePuy Motech of Warsaw, IN, exclusive worldwide rights to sellits ViewPoint image-guided surgery system in neurosurgical andorthopedic surgery markets. ViewPoint was developed jointly byPicker and the Cleveland Clinic and uses a computer workstationand hand-held probe to guide surgeons through operations by correlatingsurgical instruments to images acquired by MRI and CT scans (SCAN11/9/94). ViewPoint gained 510(k) clearance last year.
