MRI salesMRI manufacturer Fonar hasentered into a joint venture agreement to sell its scanners inthe People's Republic of China, Dow Jones News Service reportedthis month. Fonar joined with Chinese corporation Qingdao YuanTong and Mayer Medical Ltd. of Hong Kong to market, distributeand finance MRI scanners.

The companies have set a minimum goal of $16 million in salesand service revenue for Fonar by the end of 1996. Fonar is basedin Melville, NY.
