Philip Smith, vice president of Toshiba ultrasound business operations, has left the company,the Tustin, CA, vendor said last week. Smith's last day with Toshibawas April 3.

Smith joined Toshiba in 1987 as business manager of x-ray afterserving as x-ray marketing manager for GE. He left Toshiba topursue other business opportunities, according to the company.His duties will be assumed by Suzanne Certain, U.S. marketingmanager, and Dean Winter, national sales manager. They will reportdirectly to senior vice president Peter Annand.
