Viztek to Introduce New Opal-RAD PACS Features

Imaging solutions provider Viztek will be debuting several new features for its Opal-RAD PACS at RSNA 2011, including a cloud-based image viewer.

Viztek has also added a turnaround time feature to the Opal-RAD PACS, designed to streamline the workflow of teleradiology practices. The feature prioritizes exams based on a client’s contracted reading time, and based on timing parameters will generate work lists and notifications for the radiologists.

New mammography features being highlighted include the Viztek Comprehensive Priors Logic, which lets users search mammography priors in sequential order to look at a patient’s full history. The company is also introducing a new Cardiology Clinic Module that provides ultrasound video clips and access to cardiac measurements, as well as integrated report generation.

Finally, Viztek is announcing Patient-Level Document Scanning, where documents can be scanned from any location and uploaded to Opal-RAD PACS. This aims to cut out time spent faxing and tracking down paperwork.
