FDA Clears AI-Enabled Chest CT Software for Aortic Analysis

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued 510(k) clearance for the Aview Aorta Metrics software, which provides AI automated segmentation of the aorta based on chest CT scans.

The software also provides automated measurements and reporting for chest CT assessments of the aorta, according to Coreline Soft, the manufacturer of the Aview Aorta Metrics software.

The company said key attributes of the software include:=

• automated segmentation of aortic regions;

• automated classification and diameter measurement for aortic zones; and

• straightened curved planar reformation.

Coreline Soft added that the Aview Aorta Metrics software also offers automated analysis results for radiology reporting.
