Could an Emerging Ultrasound Device Facilitate More Efficient Vascular Access Workflows?

Providing an array of attributes for enhancing efficiency and clinical decision-making, Fujifilm Sonosite has launched the updated Sonosite iLOOK ultrasound platform, which is designed to improve workflows for vascular access procedures.

The Sonosite iLOOK offers the capability to view B-mode imaging, color velocity doppler views and color power doppler imaging for arterial, venous and peripheral intravenous exams, according to Fujifilm Sonosite.

Emphasizing portability and the user-friendly design, the company added that other key benefits of the Sonosite iLOOK device include a wireless, lightweight transducer (approximately 170 grams) and a user interface specifically geared to vascular access workflows.

“Since the launch of our original Sonosite iLOOK 25 system in 2003, Fujifilm Sonosite has remained dedicated to offering specialized vascular access solutions within our product portfolio. In developing the new Sonosite iLOOK, we carefully considered the challenges faced by our customers today to ensure this solution effectively addresses their needs," said Dennis Giacomino, the chief commercial officer for Fujifilm Sonosite.
